Destiny 2 Strikes and Patrols are Locked Until the Final Third of the Story

Destiny 2 is one of the most anticipated games of this year and fans are excited about the game. Bungie has promised the story will be bigger and better compared to the first game and will also feature a slew of PvE content, Patrols and Strikes, but, these won’t unlock until the final third of the single-player campaign.

The news comes from the Edge Magazine that the PvE content, Patrols and Strikes, will unlock when players reach the final third of the single-player campaign. However, the editor further revealed that the campaign missions were so engaging that they didn’t miss the PvE content and didn’t even realized until a notification told them that PvE has unlocked.

Patrols and Strikes make up most of the PvE content in Destiny and the upcoming Destiny 2. But, PvE in the upcoming game will include more activities like Adventures, Lost Sectors, and Flashpoints. Adventures are story based side missions, Lost Sectors are sort of like hidden dungeons and Flash Points are weekly activities.

In related news, Bungie has confirmed that the PC version of the upcoming Destiny sequel will block some of the third-party apps for in-game capture and voice chat. According to Bungie, the studio is blocking these third-party apps to prevent cheating in Destiny 2 on PC.

To help ensure that every player will have a fair shot at fun and glory in Destiny 2 on PC, we resist attempts by third-party applications to insert code into the game client. This may result in incompatibility between Destiny 2 PC and the features of common third-party applications.

Furthermore, Bungie has also detailed the content that will be featured in the upcoming Destiny 2 PC beta.

Destiny 2 is a first-person action shooter in development at Bungie and is scheduled to launch this fall for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
