Destiny 2 Forsaken expansion brought the Last Wish Raid which many are considering one of the best raids the Destiny series has seen. However, while the previous raids had a hard mode called Prestige but, Destiny 2 Last Wish raid won’t be getting a Prestige mode.
Bungie has confirmed in its weekly blog post that Destiny 2 Last Wish raid won’t be getting a prestige mode and there is a good reason for it too. According to Bungie, the team wanted to have just one difficult for Destiny 2 Last Wish raid and make it more rewarding compared to the previous raids.
Bungie added that Destiny 2 Last Wish raid was intended to be the definitive version of the raid at launch and that is why it won’t be getting a Prestige mode.
We focused on creating one definitive version of Last Wish with no qualifiers attached to it. We wanted to create an experience that offered the truest forms of every encounter from day one, and offered some of the most powerful rewards in the game to anyone who could succeed.
It makes sense that Bungie is changing things up since the studio has changed quite a lot with the Forsaken expansion. However, hardcore Destiny fans will be disappointed with the lack of Prestige for the Destiny 2 Last Wish raid.
Also, it’s not like Destiny 2 Last Wish raid doesn’t feature any other difficulty as players have discovered the “Petra’s Run” in the raid that is sort of a new raid difficulty.
In “Petra’s Run” every player has to play its part perfectly as the death of one teammate will kick the entire team into the orbit and players will have to start from scratch.
Bungie also noted that it can’t wait to show “Black Armory’s brand new raid lair” in December but, that might not be the only focus of the studio as Bungie has applied for a new trademark “Matter”, which might be a new title from the studio.
Destiny 2 is a first-person multiplayer shooter developed by Bungie for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
