Destiny 2: Forsaken Legendary Collection Announced, Includes Character Boost

Bungie has just announced a new, all-included edition of the game, which you’d want to grab if you’re a new player. Priced at $59.99, Destiny 2: Forsaken Legendary Collection will roll out on September 4th, along with the new expansion’s release.

What are you getting in the Destiny 2: Forsaken Legendary Collection? The bundle includes Destiny 2Destiny 2: Expansion I: Curse of OsirisDestiny 2: Expansion II: Warmind, and the highly-anticipated expansion, Destiny 2: Forsaken.

Interestingly, it doesn’t ship with any additional goodies such as emotes, banners and such, however, its $59.99 price tag makes it perfect for new players that would otherwise buy the base game, expansion pack and Forsaken individually.

Additionally, you get a character boost, much like what we’ve seen happening with the World of Warcraft expansions. You can use it to jump right into the latest content without having to grind levels in order to reach maximum gear power.

It comes as a surprise for us to see this edition of Destiny called Legendary Collection, while the ultimate edition that features all future expansions is called Complete Collection. The latter is priced at $99.99 and you get the contents of the $99.99 you get all of the above content, plus the Forsaken Annual Pass.

As with all other editions, pre-ordering Destiny 2: Forsaken Legendary Collection will grant you access to Cayde’s Exotic Stash, which includes:

  • Last Hand Weapon Ornament
  • Queens of Hearts Exotic Ship
  • Standoff Exotic Emote
  • Cayde-6 Armor Shaders

Destiny 2: Forsaken will find players seeking revenge for the death of a fan-favorite character. The expansion’s theme will be a mix of Wild West meets Sci-Fi, believed to be the biggest expansion of the game so far.

The new expansion comes with a new campaign, a raid bigger than what we’ve seen before, gameplay changes to all classes and Gambit, a new mode adding up to the game’s existing ones.

Destiny 2 Forsaken is releasing on September 4th, 2018 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can now head to the respective stores on each platform to prepurchase the edition you like.
