Destiny 2 Forsaken Expansion Now Includes All Previous Expansions For Free

Forsaken launched in September and required players to own both of the previous expansions in order to play it. No doubt, this was unreasonable and expensive. However, Bungie has announced that starting from next week Destiny 2 Forsaken expansion will include previous expansions for free.

Destiny 2 Forsaken expansion itself costs around $35 which isn’t cheap. On top of that, Destiny 2 required players to own previous two expansions as well to play Forsaken.

Those who have already purchased both of previous expansions will get new cosmetics as a sorry. Giving away just cosmetics for those who have purchased both expansions to play Destiny 2 Forsaken doesn’t seem good enough.

Launching a game reveals what we did right and where we could have done better. With the first month of Forsaken behind us, we’re taking stock of what we’ve learned.

Destiny 2 Forsaken brings a new campaign and a raid, Last Wish. However, if you are waiting for the Last Wish to get a Prestige mode then you are one of the unlucky ones.

Bungie has confirmed that Destiny 2 Forsaken raid will not get a Prestige mode. The studio noted that the team envisioned the raid to have just one difficulty and the definitive version.

Hardcore Destiny fans will be disappointed as previous raids had Prestige Mode. For those who don’t know, Prestige Mode is a hard mode for raids. In this mode, the difficulty increases significantly and the rewards are exclusive.

While we don’t have prestige mode for Last Wish raid but Bungie has included “Petra’s Run”. Petra’s Run is sort of a hard mode in the Last Wish that requires every player to play its part perfectly. Just one mistake will have the whole team kicked out to the orbit.

Destiny is not the only franchise Bungie is focusing on. The studio has applied for a new trademark “Matter”. Matter is most likely a new IP Bungie is been working on.

Destiny 2 is a first-person multiplayer shooter developed by Bungie. The game is available for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
