Destiny 2 Clans Details Revealed, Will Support New Features But At A Cost

Destiny 2 is one of the most anticipated games to launch later this year and developer Bungie has been revealing new details about the game. Now the studio has confirmed that players can transfer their Destiny clans to the upcoming Destiny 2 but, for that players will put in some work.

Bungie has confirmed in its weekly blog post that players will be able to transfer their Destiny clans to Destiny 2, however, this will require some work from the players themselves. Starting from July 25, Clan leaders will have to visit their base of operations to decide whether or not they want to transfer their clan.

Starting on July 25, 2017, Clan leaders should visit their base of operations on and decide if they want to convert their Group to a Destiny 2 Clan. Clan Founders will be able to transfer their title and permissions to another member who will be a more faithful leader for future adventures. If you have bigger plans for the existing Group that hosts your Clan, you can leave it as is and explore your own community purpose outside of the game. This housekeeping period will last for one month. After that time, new Clan creation functionality will go live on to support Destiny 2.

Bungie has further revealed that Clans in Destiny 2 will also get new features. Clans in the upcoming sequel will be “guides of a new community” that will lead solo players to embrace the endgame content. Players will be able to manage their roster “and send invitations to new members right where” they play. Also, every Guardian who is part of a Clan will receive rewards based on its teammates’ success.

However, all of this will be achieved at a price. “If your Clan is part of a sprawling Alliance of affiliated fighting units, this evolution in the Clan experience will break that connective tissue on”

Destiny 2 is a first-person action shooter in development at Bungie and is scheduled to launch this fall for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
