Death Stranding Release Date Could Be Announced Earlier Than Expected

Hideo Kojima announced Death Stranding back at E3 2016 and now after two years, we are still waiting to see Death Stranding gameplay. However, at least the release date could be announced soon. According to a recent claim by Hideo Kojima, Sony has never seen a game being developed as fast as Death Stranding.

Moreover, they are planning to announce something that’ll surprise everyone in 2018. Rumor has it that this surprise is Death Stranding release date. Sony and Kojima Productions may announce the game’s release date along with an extensive look at Death Stranding gameplay at E3 2018.

Nothing has been confirmed so far but suggestive evidence and whispers within the industry are pointing to late 2018 to an early 2019 release window for DS.

We haven’t heard Hideo Kojima mentioned anything related to Death Stranding release date since his interview at TGS 2016. He mentioned that it will be out before the year Akira is set in. Akira is a film that is set in 2019 so by that reasoning, Death Stranding should be released in 2018.

Death Stranding has technically been in developed since 2015 after the establishment of Kojima Productions. Hideo Kojima is known to take his time with game development which sometimes ends up raising development cost. Working overtime to put together this game faster than usual could be Kojima’s way of addressing these concerns.

Perhaps, we will see Death Stranding release earlier than expected. But right now what we are most excited to see in Death Stranding gameplay. E3 2018 should satisfy our craving for details regarding Kojima’s next masterpiece.
