Deadly Premonition Sequel Unceremoniously Revealed by Game Director

Well, talk about gaming news being leaked before the company actually wants, and talk about the game director himself apparently doing the same thing.

What we are talking about here is Deadly Premonition and an interview of its director Hidetaka “SWERY” Suehiro where he casually made reference to the game’s sequel.

Although this is not the first time that the game has been teased by the man but this time SWERY has clearly said that he has been working on the Deadly Premonition sequel in the recent time. When asked about what took up most of his time after Deadly Premonition had been released he went on saying:

“After producing Deadly Premonition, I started work on production of the Lord of Arcana series right away, and during that time I was already working on the planning and pre-production of D4.” He continued by saying, “At the same time I was also working on the sequel to Deadly Premonition and the framework for the Director’s Cut.”

There, as unceremonious as that. In the same interview, he insisted that he was pretty much focused on D4 [Dark Dreams Don’t Die] and that it was not the sequel in question rather a separate game.

Deadly Premonition is a peculiar open world horror game that was launched on Xbox 360 back in 2010 to a mixed response.

As far as the Deadly Premonition sequel is concerned, we are not really sure how much of work has been done on it so far but I am guessing not much based on how the director has been talking about his busy days in other projects.

Did you play the original game? How would you like to see a Deadly Premonition sequel?
