Days Gone Physical Sales Surpass Resident Evil 2 Remake And The Division 2

Days Gone released with a mixed reception but that doesn’t mean the game didn’t sell well. Days Gone has become the biggest physical launch of 2019 so far in the UK.

This is surprising because not only because the game received mixed reviews but also it’s a new IP. Not only that, Days Gone Physical sales have surpassed Resident Evil 2 remake, Far Cry New Dawn, The Division 2.

However, compared to other PlayStation 4 exclusives, Days Gone Physical sales are low. Compared to God Of War, the sales were 27% lower. Despite that, the game is selling well.

Furthermore, the Days Gone sales have pushed Mortal Kombat 11 to 2nd place and the game’s physical sales were already 43.6% lower compared to 2015’s Mortal Kombat X.

However, it’s important to note that these numbers don’t include digital sales so combining them both will reveal an entirely new picture. The following are the top 10 releases this week in the UK.

  • Days Gone
  • Mortal Kombat 11
  • FIFA 19
  • Red Dead Redemption 2
  • The Division 2
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  • Sekiro
  • Forza Horizon 4
  • New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
  • World War Z

As I mentioned above, Days Gone received mixed reception partly due to technical issues and bugs and the developers are determined to fix the game.

For that, the studio has rolled out Days Gone update version 1.05 that fixes most of the bugs and issues.

However, the devs only provided a workaround for the critical audio bug instead of fixing it. According to the devs, the workaround will give them some time to resolve the problem.

As for the fixes we’ve gotten they include fixes for crashes, improved FPS, reduced lag, stuttering and more. Players have reported improved loading time following the patch.

Also, Days Gone players will receive free DLC in June. The DLC won’t add to the story or expand it but will only include new challenges and a new difficulty setting.

Days Gone is an open-world survival game developed by Sony Bend exclusively for PlayStation 4.
