Days Gone has been in development for quite some time and developer, Sony Bend, has been very quiet about the game until now, as the devs have started to give us more details about the upcoming PS4 exclusive.

One of the details revealed by the devs is that the game will have multiple endings depending on player choices as noted by the Twitter user shinobi602. According to shinobi602, players choices will matter throughout the game and these choices can potentially result in different endings.

He also revealed more details in followup tweets giving us details about the game world, its factions, resource management and doing a proper recon before triggering a certain event.

While the studio has come out to give us new details about the game but its lips are still sealed when it comes to the release date, however, that hasn’t stopped the studio from revealing new details. According to the devs, hope is the central theme that drives the Days Gone forward.

The story is going to be about exploring Deacon as he moves through the world, how he changes, and one of our big themes is hope. Even if you live in the shit, how do you get out of that and how do you make a life worth living?

Furthermore, when the game was initially revealed many gamers found the game similar to The Last Of Us, however, the developer clarified it saying that it is on the opposite end of the spectrum from The Last of Us.

I think this is on the opposite end of the spectrum from The Last of Us. It’s more over the top, its more extreme. The sheer number [of zombies] we have shows that. In The Last of Us you’d come across one or two at a time and make your way between them. This is more of a run and gun style, over the top extreme action.

Days Gone is a PlayStation 4 exclusive game in development at Sony Bend Studio.
