Congratulations people! Daredevil Season 2 is definitely happening!
We have picked up confirmation that the show has been renewed by Netflix to return once more with the superhero saga.
However, the show won’t be exactly the same as before. This is because showrunner Steven S. DeKnight is stepping down from his post and giving way to writers Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez to take his place.
While discussing the reasons for his departure from the series, DeKnight said he had commitments that needed attending; but he assured that the duo who will be taking on the job of showrunners have been “invaluable collaborators” in the first season, implying that there is nothing to worry about come Daredevil Season 2:
While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with Daredevil into its second season, I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch. They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can’t wait to see what they do with the show moving forward.
Even I agree with DeKnight on this, Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are the kind of people you can expect to produce some good stuff.
That is not only because they have been an integral part of the making of season one, but also because they have shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Sons of Anarchy up their sleeves – respectively.
So tell us guys, do you think Daredevil Season 2 is going to be as thrilling as the first season was? Or do you think the change in the show’s primary crew is going to have a major impact on it?
