Cyberpunk 2077 Will Have Witcher 3 Composer Doing The Music

Cyberpunk 2077 will have its music done by Witcher 3 composer Marcin Przybylowicz, and hopefully it'll be just as good as his last work.

If you were a fan of the unmistakably Polish music from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, then you’re in luck. The Witcher 3 composer Marcin Przybylowicz is going to be doing the music for Cyberpunk 2077 too, meaning that the game’s soundtrack will be in pretty good hands all around.

However, even at the new E3 trailer we haven’t really seen what Marcin can do just yet. The E3 trailer didn’t have any of the music in it that he’ll be developing for the game. Instead that music came from a band called “Hyper”. Their music is likely in-line with what we’ll be seeing in the rest of Cyberpunk 2077, but there’s no telling that yet until we actually get gameplay.

While we did get a little bit of footage of the game at E3, the actual gameplay segment was a behind-closed-doors thing that only a treasured few were allowed inside of. We do know a bit about the gameplay for Cyberpunk, such as it being in first-person in a huge city that you can explore with a customized character, but we haven’t actually seen any gameplay for it yet.

While the return of Witcher 3 composer Marcin Przybylowicz is a good thing for fans of Wild Hunt who enjoyed his music, CD Projekt RED has often said that Geralt of Rivia’s story is over, so there’s no telling if we’ll ever get another adventure in the world of The Witcher again. However, considering how the Witcher games have turned out, hopefully Cyberpunk 2077 will be able to provide a great replacement.

While we may not hear any traditional Polish-style music like we did for The Witcher, we’ll hopefully get a lot of cool techno and dubstep music in Cyberpunk, and it’ll all be at the hands of Witcher 3 Marcin Przybylowicz. Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t have a release date yet but it will be coming out on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
