Cyberpunk 2077 Will Have Tons Of Exploration, Dedicated EXP For Side Missions

More Cyberpunk 2077 information gets revealed as the press had the chance to get a glimpse of almost an hour of gameplay of it during E3 2018. The information coming from those sources are starting to take a form, with an interesting one being that the game will feature a huge explorable world with six districts, with a different ecosystem than one another.

We already knew that Cyberpunk 2077 will feature a huge open world. The Witcher 3 had a pretty big world before it, so it’s only natural for CD Projekt Red to follow the path of success in their next game too. What’s different from The Witcher though, is that this world has a completely different feeling not only across different regions but also from building to building.

Cyberpunk 2077 (7)

As Youtuber jackfrags pointed out, you won’t be able to enter each building in the Cyberpunk 2077 world, but a huge amount of buildings will be available for exploration. Some of those will be called Mega-Buildings, with will have a totally different ecosystem.

The Cyberpunk 2077 city will be spread across six districts, each of which will have a different theme and feeling to it. Jackfrags revealed that the 50-minute demo shown at E3 2018 to certain members of the press, took place in an area called Watson which is described as a fallen corporate giant. This not only creates a theme behind the area but also gives us some background story about its existence.

Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay

Furthermore, we get to find out that Cyberpunk 2077 will include two forms of EXP, one of which comes from main quests and the other from side missions, called Street Cred. Street Cred will be your main indicator of how good you perform in the city, taking on bounty hunting jobs, talking to NPCs and will give you access to new areas, vendors, and brokers.

Cyberpunk 2077 will release on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC somewhen in 2019 (hopefully). While we don’t know its release date yet, rumor has it that it might get released for next-gen consoles as well.
