Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games of recent years. Google’s Stadia has been touted by some as a service that will revolutionize gaming and some think that technological limitations mean that it will be a flop. Both are eagerly awaiting it though, trying to see how it will turn out. The announcement of Cyberpunk 2077 on Google Stadia, therefore, is sure to attract much attention.
Google announced during the Stadia Connect Livestream that Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming to its Stadia streaming service next year. The live streams also gave us a lot of crisp screenshots from Cyberpunk 2077.
Google hasn’t given a date for the release though. All that was said was that it would be “coming soon” in 2020. Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming out in the April next year for PC, so hopefully, the release on Stadia will be sometimes around that because otherwise, it would just be a recipe for disaster.
Other titles coming to Stadia were also talked about in the Livestream. Some of these had been announced before and some were new. There are mentioned below.
Borderlands 3 which itself is quite the talk of the town. Kine is “a challenging 3D puzzle game about music, machines, and dreams.” Darksiders: Genesis is a spinoff prequel of the Darksiders trilogy that will focus on Strife. Mortal Kombat 11 needs no introduction.
Superhot was released back in 2016 and is basically the one scene where Keanu Reeves stops bullets in the Matrix but tests your puzzle-solving skills by having the bullets/ people move only when you move. One wrong move and checkmate.
Farming Simulator 19, Samurai Shodown, GRID, Doom Eternal, Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle, The Elder Scrolls Online, Watch Dogs: Legion, Windjammers 2, and the remake of Destroy All Humans were the other titles whose trailers were shown during the Livestream.
