Cyberpunk 2077 Progress Makes Game Playable From Start To Finish

We’re still a ways off from when Cyberpunk 2077 comes out, but CD Projekt RED has some good news for us. Cyberpunk 2077 progress has made it to the point where the game is now playable from start to finish, so the game will hopefully be getting a release date sometime soon.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been in development for six years according to the statement, and CD Projekt RED was proud to announce that it was playable. However, this doesn’t mean that the game is anywhere close to being released yet. The game is still missing a large number of assets, playtesting, and bug fixes, but the fact that it’s in a complete enough state that you can play through it is still a major gaming milestone.

We haven’t really gotten any updates about Cyberpunk 2077 progress ever since the game was originally announced in 2013, and the game’s E3 2018 debut was the only real bit of news that we’d gotten about it since then, barring some statements that CD Projekt RED could finally focus entirely on that game with the end of the Witcher games.

And considering how good that trailer from E3 looked, we’ll hopefully be getting some more gameplay of the game soon, whether at some other major gaming event this year, or during the next E3, either at the Xbox conference or some other one.

E3 2018 also had the game get a doors-closed gameplay demo that only select people were allowed into, but CD Projekt RED said that that was a demo specifically put together for the conference, rather than being a statement on Cyberpunk 2077 progress.

We don’t really have any idea of when the game will actually release, but what we do know is that the game will be available for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. Hopefully the game will be just as high-quality as the critically acclaimed Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, if not higher.
