Another Crackdown 3 Delay Is Real, Microsoft Confirms

Lately, Crackdown 3 has been the center of attention and not due to the reason, that any of its interesting details have rolled out but rather a disappointing news has surfaced. Microsoft has officially confirmed the Crackdown 3 Delay, that it shall roll out sometime in February 2019.

Microsoft announced this news of Crackdown 3 Delay in a statement to Windows Central saying:

“Our fans’ response to the signature antics and explosive gameplay of “Crackdown 3” has been incredible. To ensure we deliver the experience they deserve, “Crackdown 3” will be launching in Feb 2019. We look forward to sharing more on “Crackdown 3″ this Sunday during the Xbox E3 2018 briefing.”

As you might remember recently there have been various reports, which did suggest Crackdown 3 getting pushed to 2019. Like the Amazon Spain suddenly canceling Crackdown 3 pre-orders and just yesterday some sources close to the game project, claiming that the game has been delayed.

Most of us had our reservations that it certainly was a possibility because this is not the first time Crackdown 3 has been delayed. The game has been in production for years and it has suffered multiple delays, since then.

What is interesting is the fact that as soon as Amazon Spain canceled the pre-orders of the game, Microsoft announced that it was a mistake on behalf of Amazon that everything was in order. Although now Microsoft has made an announcement contrary to what they made earlier, which also shows the uncertainty the company has with this title.

With all that said, we can certainly look forward to seeing Crackdown 3 at E3 2018, but we would recommend that you do not place high hopes on the details. Although the company did say that they shall reveal more details, looking at the history of disappointments, it surely seems naive to expect much at this point.
