Clash Royale Arena 7 can be overwhelming experience especially if you are running a free-to-play deck. However, there are certain things that be taken into consideration and render the experience a tad easier.

Since a single card can easily counter a couple others, you need to be intelligent with your plays and have an idea of your opponent’s deck and win conditions.

Spear Goblins
The card costs 2 elixir, can deal decent damage, and can be played both offensively and defensively. Since they die easy, place them near a tower or a cannon.

In most of the instances, opponent towers will be able to one-shot these units. However, if opponent does not respond, the card can deal about 300 damage to the tower.

The card only costs 2 elixir, is weak to arrows, and can vaporize Spear Goblins, Skeletons, and Goblins. Moreover, it can also render Minions and Goblin Barrels quite weak.

Defensively, it can counter Goblin Barrels and put you on 2 elixir advantage. Furthermore, it can also deal with Minions, Goblins, Skeletons and put you on an elixir advantage. If not, you can always try Fireball to complete the job.

Offensively, the card can also deal with Tombstone, but it is not as simple as it sounds. It can also instantly eliminate Goblins and Skeleton Army.

In addition to this, if your Prince is trying to get the tower, use the card to eliminate Archers and Minions which will get your Prince some extra room. Lastly, your Goblins or towers will complete the job.

Costing 3 elixir, the card can eliminate Hog Riders and net you elixir advantage and can also deal with Giant Skeletons – provided that they are alone.

One important thing that you need to note is not to use Cannon if there is not anything to protect or shoot at. Lastly, do note that the card can also tear apart x-bow cards.

However, when it comes to this, the timing is of utmost importance. You need to deploy the card as soon as you see the opponent going with x-bow. Speaking of the card’s replacement, Tesla is an obvious choice since it can deal with BD and Balloons.

Costing 4 elixir, the card can do everything Arrows can do and more such as dealing with Bombers, Archers, Wizards, Witches, Musketeers, and Barbarians.

While the card is primarily used to protect Minions and Goblin Barrels, it can be used both as an offensive and defensive measurement and can also deal with hut decks.

As for Fireball’s replacement, it is none other than a BD due to its same cost, extra tankiness, and the ability to do almost everything a Fireball can.

Costing 4 elixir, the card can deal decent damage, can support your Prince, and deal with BD and Balloons. However, placing them with Barbarians is risky because a single Fireball can eliminate them all.

Despite of everything the card can do, it is not recommended because a Fireball can deal with it rather easily! Due to this, you can also try Mirror, Goblin Barrel, or Hog Rider.

Minion Horde
Costing 5 elixir, the card can eliminate almost anything and is best for dealing with Barbarians, Giants, Golems; but you need to make sure that opponent BD and Balloons are distracted.

When it comes to defending, the card can protect Barbarians + Musketeer or Prince with some extra help from Fireball. They can also chip away tower’s HP in no time.

However, when it comes to playing the card solely for offense, opponent BD, Witch, Fireball, Arrows, and Zap can easily eliminate it.

Costing 5 elixir, the card is probably the best thing to counter a Prince and succeed where a Minion Horde fails. Moreover, also viable for countering Hog Riders, Giants, Golems, and Giant Skeletons, and x-bow.

As for offensive approach, only head in if you know there are not any Fireball, Wizard, Bomber on the other side. As for its counter, you need to avoid splash damage from BD, etc.

Costing 5 elixir, the card can chip away HP from the opponent’s defensive structures with the help of Spear Goblins or Musketeers. Try to keep the Prince alive and beware of Barbarians as they are deadly for a Prince.

In addition to this, the card is also a viable option for dealing with x-bow when you do not have Cannon.

However, try to stay alive against Golem, Witch, Wizards, BD, Bombers, etc. by trying to distract them with Cannon or Towers. Moreover, your Fireball or Zap can also come in handy in these situations.

Lastly, it is a good idea to have an idea about the opponent’s cards such as Barbarians who can eliminate your Prince.
