Capcom Posted A Vague Response About Devil May Cry 5 Rumors

There have been a couple of leaks regarding Devil may Cry 5 in last few months. The most recent one that pretty much confirmed the game’s existence, came from voice actor Nils Hognestad. Nils Hognestad included Devil May Cry to his resume, which states that he is playing a lead role.

Now, Capcom Vancouver has responded to these leaks and rumors. According to them, if Devil May Cry is in development, then it is certainly not being developed by Capcom Vancouver. The studio responded this to an inquiring fan through their Twitter account.

Now this statement does not indicates that Devil May Cry 5 is in development, but at the same time the studio did not deny the existence of the game.

Last Devil May Cry game was released in 2013, which was developed by British studio, Ninja Theory. However, the Dmc: Devil May Cry is seen as a divisive prequel, and given that Ninja Theory has its hands full with Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, the franchise seems to be in a limbo.

Earlier this year lead voice actors and motion capture actors for Devil May Cry 4, Reuben Langdon and Johnny Bosch, were spotted together. Both were seen during a motion capture session for a game, and most probably both were working together for Devil May Cry 5.

Reuben Langdon is known for the series because he has played Dante in Devil May Cry The Abridged Series, Devil May Cry 3 and Devil May Cry 4 while Nero, who has only appeared in Devil May Cry 4 alone, has been played by Johnny Bosch.

The photo that started the speculation of Devil May Cry is in development was posted by Bosch on his Facebook page. However, he took down the image all of the sudden giving somewhat authenticity to the connection with Devil May Cry 5.
