Capcom Expects Resident Evil 7 To Sell 4 million Copies, Dead Rising 4 To Sell 2 Million Units

During Capcom's financial earnings conference, the company revealed that it expects Resident Evil 7 to sell 4 million units.

Capcom made a bold and a risky choice to make Resident Evil 7 a first person horror survival game, in a franchise where all previous games were third person. However, Capcom has convinced us by showcasing brief gameplay clips that despite of change of camera angle, the game is Resident Evil and it is scary. Now, Capom has revealed is expectations for Resident Evil 7.

While the game will not release before late January, Capcom has revealed the sales expectations for Resident Evil 7. During Capcom’s financial earnings conference, the company revealed that it expects Resident Evil 7 to sell 4 million units. Capcom also revealed that the demo for the game was downloaded 4 million times.

Furthermore, Capcom revealed that the compay expects the Dead Rising 4 to sell 2 million units. Given that the game is timed exclusive for Xbox One and PC, the expectations for this game were low, also Dead Rising franchise is not as popular as Resident Evil Franchise.

Capcom also expects the Japanese exclusive Monster Hunter XX on 3DS will sell 2 million units.

Recently, Capcom held an ambassador meeting, where the company revealed that the development on Resident Evil 7 is 90 percent complete, which means the devs only require to polish the game. Also during he meeting Capcom showcased the game running on PlayStation 4 Pro.

Resident Evil 7 is a first person horror survival game in development at Capcom, and the game is scheduled to launch on January 24, 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
