If you were lucky enough to play the Specialist tutorials in Black Ops 4, you are not so lucky this time. According to leaks and sources, the Specialists mode will not be coming to Modern Warfare 4. Moreover, the Battle Royale mode won’t be a part of the upcoming game either. Although, Battle Royale modes has become mainstream in the last couple of years.
However, people are not that bummed about the removal of the Specialists mode from the rumored Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4. The game developing studio Treyarch is trying to create a ‘Barebones playlist’.
This will allow the players to have the old School Call of Duty experience but without the Specialists restrictive skillsets. Moreover, in the beginning, the Specialists mode introduction was made to compensate for the lack of campaign mode.
With different characters having different skillset and abilities, the mode had a striking resemblance to Overwatch. People were anticipating the Blackout mode, and the removal of the mode from the game is definitely a downer.
According to gaming sources the studio wants to bring back the old school modes of Call of Duty. We can expect a single player mode, multiplayer and co-op as well. Moreover, a single player mode will be a drastic change from Black Ops 4.
David Vonderhaar in a statement previously revealed how a single player campaign wasn’t included in the list of modes to available in the game. “It wasn’t a campaign as people usually refer to it anyways… How can you say what happened to this thing that wasn’t? It was a multiplayer game.”
As of right now, no info is available whether the game will come with a single player mode or not? Let’s wait and see for the release of the game.
