Sledgehammer Games intends to take the Call of Duty series back to its roots with the upcoming Call of Duty: WWII. The upcoming game will feature a zombies mode and according to the devs, the zombies mode will be based on true events. Now the studio has revealed that zombies in Call of Duty: WWII are the scariest zombies players will ever see.

Speaking with Gamesradar, creative director Cameron Dayton talked about the Call of Duty: WWII zombies mode and its different aspects. When asked if the zombies mode in the game is really scary? Dayton revealed that zombies in Call of Duty: WWII zombies mode are the scariest the players will ever see.

I think this is, without a doubt, the scariest version of Zombies that you will have ever seen. It’s the perfect storm of technology, and studio talent, and an audience that I just think is ready for something that is going to scare the hell out of them. And I think it is something that I’m going to recommend, for first-time players, do not turn the lights off.

Keeping up the tradition of featuring Hollywood actors in its Zombies mode, Call of Duty: WWII zombies will feature Doctor Who actor David Tennant and Elodie Yung, known for playing Elektra in Daredevil.

While the game is months away from launch but, the historians are already praising the game. According to Historian Martin Morgan, Call of Duty: WWII could be the biggest thing to happen to WWII subject.

He explained by saying that we live in a time where people read less and less and the WWII is fading away from the memory.

Call of Duty: WWII is a first-person action shooter in development at Sledgehammer Games and is scheduled to launch on November 3, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
