Sledgehammer Games: Call of Duty: WWII Gameplay Is “Like Butter, Covered In Sugar, And Rolled In Chocolate”

Sledgehammer Games is bringing the Call of Duty franchise back to its roots with Call of Duty: WWII. The studio has been revealing new details like Swastikas will not be included in the game’s multiplayer and now the devs have talked about Call of Duty: WWII Gameplay.

During the recent Reddit AMA, Sledgehammer’s Michael Condrey was asked a lot of question about the upcoming game. One user asked what will Call of Duty: WWII Gameplay be like? To which he gave a very interesting and mouth watering answer. According to Condrey, the gameplay for Call of Dut: WWII will be “Like butter, covered in sugar, and rolled in chocolate. Then dunked in love.”

Sledgehammer Games has also revealed that the Zombies mode will be based on true events. Given that Zombies are fiction one would assume that Sledgehammer Games to compromise on the historical authenticity to feature the hordes of undead. However, the studio intends to keep the authenticity even for the zombie’s mode.

Furthermore, Sledgehammer Games head Glen Schofield revealed that create-a-class system will be replaced with he Division system in Call of Duty: WWII and also explained why. According to Glen, Divisions in Call of Duty: WWII will redefine how players become invested in the game’s multiplayer.

Divisions fundamentally redefines how players invest in their Multiplayer soldier career. Replacing the create-a-class system, players choose from five iconic World War II divisions each with specific basic combat training, division training and weapon skills. We think it’ll intrigue Call of Duty series veterans, and we can’t wait for our fans to see it for themselves.

Call of Duty: WWII is a first-person action shooter in development at Sledgehammer Games and is scheduled to launch on November 3, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
