Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Badass Tokens Farming

Completing challenges increases a player’s Badass Rank which consequently lets player earn Badass Tokens. With a higher Badass Rank, you’ll receive more Badass Tokens.

Badass tokens are used to unlock different bonuses which provide various stat boosts to all your characters, including the characters that you’ll make in the future.

Another thing about these challenges is that every time you create a new character, you’ll be able to complete these challenges again. This can be done in a loop to earn more Badass Tokens over time.

After earning a Badass Token, go to the Challenges Screen and select ‘Redeem Token’ to see a list of all available bonuses. Below, I’ve provided a complete list of all bonuses found in the game:

  • Maximum Health
  • Shield Capacity
  • Shield Recharge Rate
  • Shield Recharge Delay
  • Gun Damage
  • Fire Rate
  • Accuracy
  • Reduced Recoil
  • Reload Speed
  • Critical Damage Bonus
  • Melee Damage
  • Grenade Damage
  • Elemental Effect Chance
  • Elemental Effect Damage

In the section below, I’m going to share a couple of ways to increase your Badass Rank and farm Badass Tokens:

Guardian Hunter Quest Exploit
This is an endgame quest which is acquired from a dude named Sterwin in the southern side of the Vorago Solitude. Using this exploit, you’ll not only power-level your character, earn loads of Moonstones, money, but also increase your Badass Rank to earn Badass Tokens fast.

This optional quest requires you to capture a Guardian with a Trap Grenade, but you need to keep on killing the Guardian to make them respawn at a faster rate. The only catch when using this method is limited ammo at your disposal.

You need to get a lot of ammo and start killing the Guardians followed by hitting the Pause Menu and selecting ‘Save & Quit’ option. By doing so, you’ll retain your earned XP and bonuses, but will reset your ammo. Get this while it lasts!

Let’s Build a Robot Army Exploit
This is another exploit which lets players not only earn loads of Moonstones, money, but also increase your Badass Rank to earn Badass Tokens fast. The idea is to steal kills from the turrets and make them spawn infinitely.

You need to start ‘Let’s Build a Robot Army’ and proceed to the point where you’re asked to let turrets kill Scavs. At this point, you need to steal kills from the turrets and make them count towards your progress.

If you keep on killing Scavs yourself, you’ll receive a notification asking you to stop. You need to take advantage of the fact that if you keep on killing them, you’ll neither get a ‘Failed Mission’ nor Scavs will stop spawning.

An important thing to note here is that you’ll have limited ammo and turrets only need to take 12 kills to complete the mission. A good idea is to hit the Pause Menu and select ‘Save & Quit’ once the Turrets get around 10 kills.

In this way, you’ll retain all your earned XP and Badass Rank, but your used ammo and Turrets’ progress will be reset. You can share if your own Badass Tokens farming methods in the comments below!
