Bloodborne Chalice Dungeons, Ritual Chalices, Ritual Materials Guide

How Chalice Dungeons work, Ritual Chalice locations and Chalice Dungeon Ritual Materials to help you create Bloodborne Chalice Dungeons.

Chalice Dungeons are secret areas under Yharnam which are often procedurally-generated. You can enter the dungeons after performing a Chalice Ritual. You can also save any layout of a root-dungeon (which are always changing) and share it with the online community.

Bloodborne Chalice Dungeons

You can expect to encounter multiple Chalice Dungeon Bosses in Bloodborne but do note that the bosses are always changing.

Furthermore, the dungeons also house Chime Maidens who continue to spawn more monsters. You should try and kill the maidens as soon as possible to prevent monsters from overwhelming your character.

Tip: Blue-lit areas indicate an already explored area.

Aside from blue-lit areas, there are multiple lamps which serve as checkpoints in the vast dungeons. Speaking of vastness, the dungeons are vast in horizontality as well as verticality. There are levers within each dungeon which can send your character to lower floors.

The dungeons are hostile places and contain traps for the visitors. Always watch your steps while exploring new areas. Lastly, you will also come across different Messengers haunting the dungeons.

Now the question that arises is why should you visit a Chalice Dungeon? The areas offer new challenges, monsters, and dropped valuable items which can be sold at high prices.

Things to Watch Out in Chalice Dungeons

As mentioned earlier, the dungeons are not befitted for roaming around and many of us find this to our displeasure.

The areas brim with deadly traps such as Guillotine Blades or Fire-Spitting Statues which are activated by things such as stepping on a tile.

The dungeons are often multi-layered and encourage exploration to acquire many valuables within. When taking on a tough dungeon, make sure to summon an online buddy or be summoned into someone else’ dungeon by using Chalice Glyph or Chalice Dungeon Search functionality.

As for enemies, you will find a whole lot of them in the dungeons including dungeon guards and protectors, not to mention Chalice Dungeon bosses.
