Black Squad is an indie project that uses the Unreal Engine to demonstrate realistic visuals and dynamic gameplay. The game was recently released after a long beta test and is being developed with a lot of community feedback that may just mean that it stands out from among the hundreds of free to play shooters currently in the market.

Black Squad Weapons Guide

The first thing that you need to understand about Black Squad is that there is no tagging. This means that hitting someone will not make them stop or flinch like it does in Counter Strike, ARMA and many other free to plays.

This means that you should always be running and gunning to make sure that the enemies have difficulty aiming.

The current mechanics of the game also mean that the Sniper rifles are an extremely effective weapon as the best way to counter run and gunplay style is a one shot/one kill rifle, as seen by numerous Call of Duty montages.

Snipers should try to keep strafing in between their shots to make themselves less vulnerable and try to practice their aim to rack up kills quickly and efficiently.

For the people who use rifles and SMGs, They should remember that automatic weapons in this game have an enormously large spread, but strafing while firing does not affect the accuracy of the weapon that much so try to fire in controlled bursts while strafing to minimize recoil.

SMGs should be used by rushers and CQB players while rifles should be used by players playing further back.

Sniper Rifles

The father of all sniper rifles, the M107A1. One shot with this beast and the opponents is done. 100 damaging, 100 accuracy, 100 range. This is the dream gun for every Black Squad player.

This sniper rifle may have the lowest over all stats if compared with the other, it’s still an above average weapon having a Low recoil and a High rate of fire. There aren’t any complains since its starting weapon.

Blazer R93
The Blazer is by far the most efficient Designated Marksman rifle because it guarantees a one shot kill in the largest hit box while maintaining a respectable moving speed and accuracy.

For Snipers who like to be aggressive and are more confident in their aim, The Dragunov is also a good choice as it is semi-automatic and guarantees a one shot kill in the upper torso.

The DSR-1 can be good for players who like to camp and take out people at long ranges. I would recommend not using the SCAR for reasons that should be obvious.

Designated Marksman Rifles

SCAR-H has a superior range as compared to other assault rifles. This weapon has a High rate of fire, Low recoil, High penetration and a Low magazine capacity. It’s a must-have weapon because of its accuracy and reloading time as it usually takes two seconds to reload.

The MK14 MOD1 is just like the SCAR-H, having a good High accuracy, high recoil. However, this rifle is much more damaging than the SCAR-H. It can be a good choice if you’re a rifle guy.


MP7 A1
The MP7 is a decent starter SMG that is quite lethal in CQB but falls off in long-range fights. It has an enormous spray pattern so efficient aimers should be better with this gun.

KRISS Vector
The Vector has really no point in the current meta as it has the lowest fire rate and still requires four bullets to kill a person.

The SIZMPX is difficult to unlock but it is definitely worth it. It requires 4 bullets in the chest to kill someone and has a very good rate of fire. The Spread is also very easily controllable so this is by far the best SMG if you can unlock it.

A 5.7mm caliber Sub-Machine Gun having a decent over all stats including accuracy and rate of fire along with a convincing cost of 2500 Medal. A part from all the ups, this SMG takes a minus point in the damaging section.

Machine Guns

The only Machine Gun worth using right now is the PECHENEG B. At 3 bullets, it requires one less bullet to kill an enemy than its opposing counterpart and the iron sights of the gun are much easier on the eyes than the MK46.

The second machine gun available in Black Squad, this weapon is an afterthought due to it having a bad accuracy and low damage rate. It’s way too expensive for its stats.


There are currently two shotguns in the game which are the S1014 and KSG.

The S1014 is a 12 G caliber shotgun having a low damage rate and an average rate of fire. Though it may have a good mobility and stability in the end it’s not going to help you in a long-range shot.

Now this is a shotgun the players can get behind. Its stats say it all, good damage, mobility, stability and accuracy. The KSG is far more superior than the S1014.


Desert Eagle

Right now, the Desert Eagle is the secondary weapon of choice as it can kill the enemy in 2 shots to the chest. It has a low rate of fire so aiming correctly with it is a must.

Newer First Person Shooter players should stay away from pistols but the experienced players should use them to their advantage e.g. when they run out of bullets or when a sniper has to engage in extremely close quarters.

G17 TIER1 is a free of cost pistol, available at the starting weapons along with other weapons such as the TAR-21, MP7A1, M110K1 and NIMRAVUS.

This pistol has an impressive accuracy, stability and mobility, making it a must have gun in Black Squad.

The M45 CQBP is a newly introduced 45-caliber pistol in the game. This Pistol has an amazing stat which include a great rate of fire along with a high Accuracy rate.

The M45 CQBP is a secondary option, if nothing is available then this weapon comes in handy.


Frag grenade
The frag grenade is currently the most effective grenade as it may kill the enemy if it lands on one. However, it is still quite inconsistent. The flash is useless as you are only blinded briefly and can still see enemies when you hover over them.

The smoke is situational and may be of use to players who are able to discover Over Powered spots to throw them in.

MK13 Flash
The MK13 Flash grenade is used to stun opponents. Once this explosive is thrown at someone, they lose their sight and hearing ability for few seconds, thus giving you the opportunity to either hide or attack.

Keep in mind that the opponents should be inside a 6.6 radius if you want to stun them.

Also, be really careful when using this grenade as this can cause your teammates to suffer the same if they come inside the radius.

M18 Smoke Grenade
The most useful grenade out of all is the M18 Smoke. This explosive lives up to its name as it creates a smokescreen few seconds after being thrown. It slows the opponents and prevents them from see clearly. Mostly its used as a cover when plating or defusing a bomb.

Assault Rifles

At last, we come to the bread and butter of every FPS game, the Assault Rifle. This class is probably going to be used most often by the majority of the players.

A really expensive assault rifle, costing 120,000 Solid. If you’re an assault rifle person then the cost shouldn’t be your main concern, it’s worth it! As the R5 has a good high fire rate, precision damage and a Low recoil.

SR-47 GL
Although the SR-47 has High damage, Medium recoil and a Medium-high accuracy. It still lacks rate of fire and the fact that it’s a Heavy weight machine.

An Australian Assault rifle with Low recoil, a Decent range and a High rate of fire but lacks accuracy.

A Chinese Assault rifle with High damage, Manageable recoil however a Medium-high recoil, a Low rate of fire and a Low hip-fire accuracy.

Probably the most balanced rifles in the game, the HNK416A5 has an accurate aim. It may not have good precision when fired fully auto but still you can blow the opponent’s head off with this weapon.

An Assault rifle made in the USA. It has a believable price for its stats. The MDR has a Low recoil, Decent accuracy but slightly low in damage.

A Russian Assault Rifle capable of cleaning house with a single shot followed up by its high damage. But it lacks accuracy, rate of fire and has a High recoil.

 AK47 GL
Every player whether hardcore or casual, knows the name of AK47. This weapon works good with single shots and has a high damage. But along with it, the AK47 has a High recoil, continuous fire and a Low rate of fire.

CZ 805 A2
The best rifle to use CZ 805 A2. It is the most balanced one in terms of recoil, damage, and mobility.

G36 GL
For close quarters the G36 GL is by far the most practical weapon in Black Squad.

The TAR-21 is good for hip-fire so aggressive rushers should be using this weapon while the SCAR is another good well-rounded rifle like the CZ 805.
