Black Ops 3: DLC Will be Exclusive to PlayStation for 30 Days

Call of Duty is a game that has a competitive multiplayer community built around it and they tend to get quite obsessed about the game that they love and change isn’t often a good thing. This is why when Microsoft didn’t reveal any trailer at the E3 conference as it was evident that something was changing, and Xbox One owners may not like it. When Sony took to the stage and premiered the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 demo the change was confirmed.

Maybe it is a sign of the popularity of Sony’s Playstation 4 as the chosen current generation console that made Activision change their alliance from Microsoft. Whatever caused the change, it’s now confirmed that Sony will have exclusivity for the DLC for 30-days before the PC and Xbox One.

For the more casual players this may not be big news, but for others the reaction will be interesting.  Until now Microsoft have been able to release the downloadable content exclusively on their consoles for 30-days early and for Sony to take it from them is quite a coup.

This will have an effect on both the MGL leagues and Call of Duty Championships so it’ll be interesting to see what happens with this release, and what announcements will be made.

I’m sure there will be plenty of opinions from players about the change, both good and bad. Playstation 4 players will no doubt be happy, where the Xbox One and PC owners will have every right to feel hard done by.

The fact that everybody will get the DLC sooner or later will be something they’ll have to live with thought as the deal is done and the change has been made.
