Another Battlefield V Feature Will Be Missing The Game’s Launch

It seems that vehivle customization won't be the only Battlefield V feature that will be missing at launch and will be added post-launch.

Earlier this month EA DICE announced that vehicle customization won’t be available at launch. However, it seems that is won’t be the only Battlefield V feature that will be missing at launch and will be added post-launch.

The Battlefield V feature in question is the feature that will allow players to move their teammates to cover while they are down.

According to the multiplayer producer at DICE, David Sirland, the feature to drag your teammates to cover in Battlefield V is still under development.

Not only that, he noted that bullet penetration is also present in the open beta but it is also in development and isn’t implemented properly.

Speaking of Battlefield V, the repotedly the pre-order for the game are below EA’s expectations and not only that, the game’s pre-orders are 85% behind Black Ops 4.

According to analyst Doug Creutz, Battlefield V will be a serious disappointment and is lagging far behind Black Ops 4, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

This is very far off the tracking levels of previous Battlefield titles in 2011, 2013, and 2016. With a release date directly in between CoD and RDR, we worry that BFV could be headed for a similar fate as 2016’s Titanfall 2, which got squeezed out by its launch date directly between Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Pre-orders being lower than expections might be due to the fact that one of the EA’s execs suggested not to buy the game following the backlash at the game’s reveal.

We stand up for the cause, because I think those people who don’t understand it, well, you have two choices: either accept it or don’t buy the game. I’m fine with either or. It’s just not ok.

Furthermore, Battlfield V is among the first games to feature Real-Time Ray Tracing support.

However, playing the game with Ray Tracing enabled will come at the cost of performance as reportedly RTX 2080 Ti can’t do 1080p/60 FPS with Battlefield V.

Battlefield V ia s first-person action shooter in development at EA DICE and is scheduled to launch on October 11, 2018, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
