Battlefield V Closed Alpha Servers Are Full, DICE Shares Known Technical Issues

Battlefield V Closed Alpha is seeing an overwhelming response from the community. According to EA DICE, servers are currently full but at the same time players are facing some expected technical issues.

Many took to Twitter to complain where DICE explained how this is not only a gameplay test, it is a technical test as well so issues are expected. However, developers are trying their best to fix the problems. Some of the known issues include the inability to join squads and matchmaking.

Both issues are being looked at and should be resolved but for now, DICE has turned off Squad Join.

Squad join

We found some last-minute issues with Squad Join, so we’ve switched it off in the Alpha for now. If that changes, we’ll let you know.

As this is an early tech test matchmaking may not functioning optimally, and as we’ll be adjusting server loads to try out different scenarios, you may come across some problems while matchmaking.

If this happens, you can always try again.

If you retry and still can’t find a match, close the Battlefield V client, and then restart it and try again.

Battlefield V closed Alpha invites were sent out today and for those lucky ones, the client is now available to download. Oddly, no end date is announced for the time being.

Players will get to test the game’s weapons, vehicles, and gadgets for the next few days. Two game modes are available to the players including 64-player Conquest and the new Grand Operations. Arctic Fjard is the only map available in Battlefield V Alpha right now.

The Alpha is designed for PC and is available in Europe and North America only.
