Leak: AMD Radeon RX 590 Reference and Asus Strix ROG To Release Within a Month

The Asus Radeon RX 590 ROG STRIX will come out in a months time. It comes with higher clock speeds. Here is what you need to know.

The AMD Radeon RX 590 was leaked recently and that got us thinking that AMD is working on a range of graphics cards that will come out this year and sources have revealed that the Asus Radeon RX 590 ROG STRIX is being worked on right now.

VideoCardz mentioned this in a recent post. We got a leaked benchmark that shows the higher clock speed of the Radeon RX 590 which could be an indication that the graphics card will be based on the 12nm node. If that is indeed the case then we will get better efficiency. You can check out the benchmark below:

Furthermore, our sources tell us that the Asus Radeon RX 590 ROG STRIX will come out in a months time. We know that AMD is working on moving Vega to the 7nm node and that these graphics cards are supposed to release next year. The Asus Radeon RX 590 ROG STRIX is not based on Vega, it is based on Pascal, so it is pretty safe to assume that these cards will release before the end of the year.

The Asus Radeon RX 590 ROG STRIX might not be something revolutionary but it might be cheaper and perform better than the RX 580. You should not expect too much because this is a refresh. This might not be a viable upgrade for people that already own an RX 570 or 580 but this could be a great upgrade for people that are still using older cards like the RX 460 or the R9 series.

AMD has also released an RX 580 variant that comes with 2048 SPs. The rest of the specs are the same as the RX 570 but the card is cheaper as well. Which makes it great value for money.

Let us know what you think about the Asus Radeon RX 590 ROG STRIX and whether or not you are interested in getting one of these upcoming graphics cards.
