Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered Gets A New Trailer, Coming March 20

An Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered game is getting a new trailer before it comes out on March 20 on Xbox One and the Playstation 4.

A new Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered port is being made for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One and is coming March 20, allowing players who missed an Assassin’s Creed game to play it either for the first time or again if they’ve already played it. The game originally released for legacy consoles exclusively.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue tells the story of Shay Cormack, an Irish man who defects from the Assassin Order and joins the Templars after becoming disillusioned with the Assassins and their methods. Now he faces off against multiple Assassins across decades, and sails his ship the Morrigan across the waves.

Players who might not have played Rogue before might recognize Shae anyway, as he’s the killer of Arno’s father in the beginning of Assassin’s Creed Unity. Now, if you haven’t played the original game, the Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered game will give you the chance to play the entire story.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue originally came out alongside Unity, being for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 while Unity was for the Xbox One and Playstation 4. Fortunately, only one of them got hit with various technical difficulties that impacted the game’s reviews, while Rogue got a mixed reception, but was quickly forgotten.

Hopefully the Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered edition can fix all of the problems that were had with its original version, especially so soon after Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed Origins, which got very positive reviews.

Either way, the remastered version of Assassin’s Creed Rogue will be coming out on March 20, around the same time as the upcoming remaster of Dark Souls for current-gen consoles. If you’ve been wanting to return to Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed 3’s sailing system, however, Rogue might be the game for you.

The remaster will be coming out on the Xbox One and Playstation 4, but no word on the PC yet.
