Assassin’s Creed Origins Modern-Day Protagonist Revealed In Leaked Image(SPOILERS)

Assassin’s Creed Origins is just a few days from launch, however, Ubisoft has been marketing the game with showing the ancient Egypt landscape that players will explore and frankly the studio has not talked anything about the Assassin’s Creed Origins modern-day protagonist which were featured almost in all of Assassin’s Creed Titles.

However, a leak has made its way to the internet revealing Assassin’s Creed Origins modern-day protagonist. Also, a SPOILER ALERT! is in order, if you don’t want it spoiled then leave. The leak comes from AllGamesDelta, who revealed with an in-game image of Assassin’s Creed Origins, the modern setting and Assassin’s Creed Origins modern-day protagonist.

As you can see in the image below, the modern-day protagonist for Assassin’s Creed Origins is going to be a female character named “Lyla”. Also, players will be able to play in 3rd person perspective in modern-day sections as opposed to the first-person perspective in AC: Black Flag and Rogue.

Also, judging from the image it seems that our Modern-day protagonist is in an underground tomb, probably in Egypt. However, we can’t say if she is a Templar or an Assassin.

In related news, Assassin’s Creed franchise has been often criticized for being jam-packed with collectibles that add nothing meaningful to the game and it seems that Ubisoft has listened to the feedback, as game director, Ashraf Ismail has confirmed that they are keeping “Floating Collectibles” out of the game.

Not only is Egypt a place you want to explore because it’s a world of unique locations but by taking the time to go there you’re going to find something that has value for you, whether that’s lore or gameplay. We’re staying far away from what we call ‘floating collectibles’. We want things in the world to have meaning.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is an upcoming action RPG in development at Ubisoft and is scheduled to launch on October 27, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
