Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Has Its Own Mercenary System like Shadow Of Mordor

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is one of the most anticipated games of 2018 and it’s going to be the biggest game in the series including some brand new features like dialogue system and the ability to play with different characters the way you like.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey also includes a brand new Mercenary system that’s going to be a part of the game and it will most likely remind you of Shadow Of Mordor if you have played it. You will get a penalty on your head increasing depending on each criminal act you commit and attract mercenaries towards you.

Game Informer recently discussed this new Mercenary system:

“Without a strict code to follow, you’re much freer in the world. You can choose to steal, slaughter livestock, and go on murderous rampages. ‘Let’s say you’re going around the world and you’re a s—head,’ says creative director Jonathan Dumont, ‘It’s your choice, but there are consequences.”

If you commit crimes, a bounty will be placed on your head. And when mercenaries appear to collect, that’s when the real fun begins.’

Ah, but there’s a price to pay, since there are 50 mercenaries within the game. “It’s endless Phylakes,” Dumont explains. “And some have bears.”

These mercenaries will have their own abilities, equipment, strengths, weaknesses and the battles will not be easy. If you kill them you will get some exclusive rewards and if you don’t, you will be able to add them to your ship crew.

Other than that, The Naval system is getting completely redesigned in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and it’s completely new and different from anything you have seen in the previous games.

It’s confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will not have a multiplayer mode and director of the game really wants to bring the game to Nintendo Switch but it’s not happening anytime soon.
