Following the announcement of Ark Survival Evolved for mobile devices, developer Studio Wildcard has now confirmed Nintendo Switch version of Ark Survival Evolved and also noted that the Switch version will not be much different from PC and console versions.

According to the Studio, the Nintendo Switch version of Ark Survival Evolved will feature complete content and features of the PC and console versions of the game, meaning nothing will be cut from the game to make it run on Nintendo Switch. The Switch version of the game is being developed by Abstraction Games.

ARK: Survival Evolved on Switch includes the complete contents and features of the original game; from the massive and mysterious ARK island, to the more than 100 prehistoric- and fantasy-inspired creatures such as the T-Rex, Giganotosaurus, Rock Drake and Reaper. Hundreds of hours of exploring, crafting, survival and combat await players as they go it alone, or group up with thousands of other Survivors to explore the island and solve the mysteries of the ARK.

Abstraction Games CEO Ralph Egas also touched on the subject of the Nintendo Switch games being stripped of content or features compared to the PC and current-gen console. He assured that except for some details there won’t any difference in Switch and console versions of the game.

Switch is not as powerful as a PS4 or Xbox One. Everyone knows that. Having said that, the difference isn’t as big as the general perception would have you believe. In some locations you need to downsize a bit on the distance you’re able to view. But not as much as you’d think compared with Xbox One and PS4. Obviously, in terms of Xbox One X and PS4 Pro, that’s a different story. But compared with the base platforms, Switch is not that bad.

Ark Survival Evolved is an action-adventure survival game developed by Studio WIldcard for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch version of the game will launch Fall 2018.
