In a recent announcement made by Apple today; the newly launched Apple iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c has been sold with a record-shattering 9 million units in just three days. Both of these phones hit the store shelves on 20 September, 2013.
Not only this; the announcement is followed by the news that more than 200 million devices are now live with iOS-7 which marks it as the:
Fastest software upgrade in history.
iOS-7 which is said to be the ‘most significant iOS update since the original iPhone’ has brought in many novel features to iPhones which includes a new and improved UI, color-palette, and the most awaited feature to make its debut in iOS devices; free radio service known as iTunes Radio.
Along with proclaiming Drake’s hit single, ‘Hold on, we’re going home’ as the most popular song on iTunes Radio, Apple has further announced that around 11 million people are already relishing over iTunes Radio; including myself!
While speaking about iPhone 5s, Apple’s current CEO; Tim Cook said that:
This is our best iPhone launch yet–more than nine million new iPhones sold–a new record for first weekend sales. The demand for the new iPhones has been incredible, and while we’ve sold out of our initial supply of iPhone 5s, stores continue to receive new iPhone shipments regularly. We appreciate everyone’s patience and are working hard to build enough new iPhones for everyone.
The demands on the iPhone 5s is so high that many retailers have already run out of their stock with Apple sending-in the next shipment sometime during the next week.
Apple iPhone 5s has revolutionized the hardware capabilities of smart-phones by featuring 64-bit processor. Furthermore, a fingerprint scanner has incurred itself to the device with the starting price being $200 for 16GB model.
A cheap variant of iPhone known as iPhone 5C is also available for only for $99 which comes in plastic body and different colors.
