Lenovo Thinkpads have always featured Intel processors with a few exceptions but things are changing like AMD Ryzen giving Intel a run for its money due to its better performance and now Lenovo has listed ThinkPad A285 and A485.

The Thinkpad A series was announced last year as AMD CPU exclusive which featured ThinkPad A475 and ThinkPad A275, however, these laptops released too late to feature AMD Ryzen CPU but, things have changed and AMD Ryzen powered Lenovo Thinkpads has been listed for the first time.

The listing didn’t reveal any extensive specs for these AMD Ryzen powered Lenovo Thinkpads but the listing reveals that these will feature AMD Ryzen CPUs up to AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 2700U. However, the company didn’t reveal when these Thinkpads will release and how much will they cost.

Seems like Ryzen CPUs are becoming more popular among consumers and laptop manufacturers and they have started to feature these chips into their products to cash in on the Ryzen hype which is completely justified.

Speaking of AMD, it seems that AMD is looking to introduce new packaging for Ryzen 7 2700X to match the performance in the presentation.

Also, Ryzen chips are giving Intel a tough time as obviously, AMD chips have overall better performance and AMD Ryzen has also helped AMD to get back into the game as Ryzen chips have helped AMD to grab a significant market share.

Furthermore,  the Ryzen 5 1600, predecessor to the Ryzen 5 2600, has become the best-selling CPU for AMD. Not only that, the CPU has managed to outsell the Intel Core i5 7600K and the i7 8700K.

While the Ryzen 2000 CPUs and APUs have just launched in the market but AMD has confirmed that it is already working on Zen 5 Micro-Architecture. According to lead Zen architect Mike Clark, he is working on Zen 5 mico-architecture.
