AMD Radeon PRO V340 With 32 GB HBM2 Is The World’s First-Ever 7 nm Multi-User GPU

Seems like world's first ever 7 nm GPU, Radeon PRO V340, has leaked online with specifications and performance benchmarks.

Gamers and enthusiasts are still waiting for AMD and Nvidia to roll out their next-gen gaming GPUs. It might be a while before we get to see anything about next-gen gaming GPUs but, seems like world’s first ever 7 nm GPU, Radeon PRO V340, has leaked online which suggests that this is a multi-user GPU with 32 GB of HBM2 memory.

During its Computex 2018, AMD announced 7 nm Radeon Vega Instinct and also showcased a demo which revealed 35% performance boost.

However, AMD didn’t reveal any specific 7 nm GPU but Benchlife has published a slide presentation the yet unannounced AMD Radeon PRO V340.

The slide, however, was not part of AMD’s Computex 2018 presenting and could be fake. According to the leak, the AMD Radeon PRO V340 is a multi-user computing solution that supports up to 32 concurrent users.

Furthermore, the leak suggests that this 7 nm GPU features 32GB of HBM2 memory. While the slide doesn’t confirm it but, this could either be Vega 10 with 32GB HBM or dual Vega 10 with 16GB HBM2 or it could be 7nm Vega 20 with 32GB HBM2.

What is interesting is that, while AMD is yet to officially announce this multi-user 7 nm GPU but benchmark results for AMD Radeon PRO V340 have already appeared online which would suggest that AMD might soon be revealing this GPU.

Speaking of AMD, the company also announced its 32 cores/64 threads 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper during its Computex prestation.

The upcoming processor is based on GlobalFoundries’ 12-nm process. However, AMD showcased a 24-core, 48-thread 2nd gen Ryzen Threadrpper running a Blender render to compare it to Intel Core i9-7980XE. These Threadripper CPUs will be available in Q3 of 2018.

Also, a report has been making rounds on the internet suggesting that AMD is preparing to bring Radeon RX 680 based on the Navi architecture. Not only that, the GPU will feature 8 GB of GDDR6 memory.
