The gaming website GameXplain have managed to get ahold of 50 minutes of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 gameplay the day after the game gets an exclusive Nintendo Direct all to itself. The game is the sequel to 2011’s Xenoblade Chronicles, and will be releasing exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on December 1 of this year.
The Xenoblade Chronicles 2 gameplay looks really good, too, having a wide open area with a lot of wildlife wandering around. There are also a variety of different towns that you can visit to resupply on your adventures, and all-around the game looks beautiful. While we likely won’t see it off the Switch for a good while, it’s going to likely be another good system-seller.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 focuses around a young boy named Rex, who along with a girl named Pyra set out on a search for the mythical paradise of Elysium. While Shulk doesn’t appear to be anywhere to be seen, hopefully Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be able to fill the role that a sequel should, and be a vast improvement over the original Xenoblade Chronicles game.
While the combat doesn’t look like much, mainly consisting of the characters standing in one place and whaling on an enemy until they die, the rest of the game and the possibility of more spectacular combat moves happening later in the game will hopefully spice it up later.
These 50 minutes of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 gameplay are certain to help persuade someone to buy the game, especially on the Switch if they want yet another open-world game that they can use for the Switch alongside The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey.
There’s undoubtedly going to be hours and hours more of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 gameplay that you’ll be able to see when the game releases for the Nintendo Switch on December 1.
