The Gamespy Servers will be shutting down at the end of next month but still, there are so many PC games that have not yet found their new homes.
Now, the publisher 2K has announced that they want to keep their “legacy titles” alive by investing in new supporters. So, 2K’s Borderlands, Civilization 3, Civilization 4, and their expansions will all be moving on from Gamespy servers to Steamworks in the near future.
Furthermore, Steamworks will support all the mods that have been created in the game but there is one problem, people will have to play offline on the day transition will be taking place.
Apart from the aforementioned titles, the following are the major games from the publishers that will stop the support for multiplayer on 31st May alongside Gamespy Servers.
- Close Combat First to Fight (PC/Mac)
- Jetfighter (PC)
- Jetfighter V: Homeland Protector (PC)
