PAX East will be a good time for fans of The Last Of Us, as it’s been announced that there will be a Last Of Us 2 PAX demo this year. The demo comes alongside things like new pre-order rewards (in the form of an Ellie statuette), a new changing wallpaper, and more.
The Last Of Us 2 is slated to come out May 29 on the Playstation 4, after going several years without a release date and being delayed from its original release this month in February. However, an actual demo at PAX East will hopefully make fans understand that it’s worth the wait.
The Last Of Us 2 PAX demo will take us through roughly the first hour of The Last Of Us, as Ellie and her girlfriend Dina travel into the streets of post-apocalyptic Jackson, Mississippi to eliminate Infected, which will help to kick off the game.
The other bits of The Last Of Us 2 merchandise include an interactive wallpaper for the Playstation 4 (which you can get by using this code on PSN: 9DEK-PKNG-N445) that show a nice juxtaposition. One side shows Ellie in a peaceful forest playing a guitar, while the other side shows her hiding from the humans that seem to be the new main enemy.
Along with the code, pre-orders will be opening on March 13 for the various editions of The Last Of Us. One of the higher tiers, which you can get to if you pay $99.99, includes a statuette of Ellie wielding a machete, born from a partnership between Sony and Dark Horse.
The Last Of Us 2 Pax demo will only be available at PAX East from February 27 to March 1, so if you’re already planning to go, try and get in line early so that you can get a sneak peek at the game. Otherwise, we’ll be waiting for The Last Of Us 2 to come out on May 29 of this year exclusively on the Playstation 4.
