Let it never be said that CD Projekt RED doesn’t know how to load up a game with content to keep you playing. A recent interview with studio head John Mamais has told gamers that there will be a large number of Cyberpunk 2077 sidequests, at least 75, to keep you entertained.
Night City is a big place, apparently, and with so many sidequests players will likely get to experience every inch of it if they want to run around doing every possible quest. Crafted by a team of 15 people, the different sidequests will be more numerous than those from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
That game, already having a lot of side activities and various missions, being outnumbered by Cyberpunk just helps to let us know just how big the game actually is. Even if it only takes place in one city as opposed to a massive region of land, Cyberpunk seems to be going for density as well.
The Cyberpunk 2077 sidequests aren’t even the only things that will be in the game, as there will also be a large amount of other activities for players to do. Each of these, according to Mamais, will also be fully unique in order to escape any feelings of repetition.
Cyberpunk 2077 has been in development at CD Projekt RED since 2013 when its first teaser trailer came out. Even though its development was paused by the success of the Witcher games, CD Projekt RED came back to Cyberpunk’s development with a vengeance, though unforeseen technical issues necessitated the push back to September.
You’ll be able to play all of the Cyberpunk 2077 sidequests when the game releases on September 17 of this year for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. In the meantime, hopefully CD Projekt RED can keep us updated on the different things we can expect from the game.
