New Mythical Pokemon to be Revealed on Pokemon Day for Sword and Shield

With the success of Pokemon Sword and Shield, Nintendo just isn’t stopping with the exciting news. It was recently revealed at Serebii that a new mythical Pokemon will be added to the lineup. This reveal will take place on Pokemon Day on February 27.

It is unclear as to how players can get their hands on this new mythical Pokemon in Pokemon Sword and Shield. However, the new mythical will be a part of the game in some way. The Max Raid battles will also be making their way on February 27. Nintendo could possibly try to add the new mythical Pokemon through this event or at least something, associated with it.

The report also confirmed that this new Pokemon will also be featured in the upcoming Pokemon movie titled “Pokemon the Movie: Coco”. It seems as though Nintendo has big plans for this Pokemon as its movie appearance guarantees its increased publicity.

Since Meltan and Melmetal was released in the fall of 2018, this is the first we have seen of a new mythical Pokemon. However, Meltan reveal came when Nintendo showcased him directly in Pokemon GO. Dittos changed his form to that of the new Pokemon. This would be then expanded upon in  Let’s GO: Pikachu and Let’s Go: Eevee.

A Pokemon Go event is also set to take place this year, on Pokemon Day. This could indicate that we may see some information about the new mythical, on the mobile game.

Fans showed their eagerness and anticipation on Twitter regarding the new upcoming Pokemon. There was speculations as to which Pokemon it would be?. AZ Floette and Calyrex were a part of this conjecture.
