The Long Dark Hotfix 1.73 Is Out, General Fixes

The Long Dark has received Hotfix 1.73. You can now download this patch on PC (Steam). You will find that The Long Dark Hotfix 1.73 is quite a small patch as it only has two general bug fixes. Something that stands out in this patch is that they fixed a crash that could occur when the Old Bear charges at the Player, if they had taken a specific path through the cave prior to the encounter.

The Long Dark is a survival game. Here you will have to survive in a hostile environment set in the forested areas of northern Canada, so you will have to control your vital signs and satisfy your most basic and primary needs, such as hunger, thirst or fatigue. It features both a Classic Survival Mode and a more narrative focused called Story Mode. Below you will find the complete list of The Long Dark Hotfix 1.73 Hotfix patch notes.

  • [EP2] Fixed a crash that could occur when the Old Bear charges at the Player, if they had taken a specific path through the cave prior to the encounter.
  • [General] Fixed a crash that could occur during an active Aurora.

A few days ago, other hotfixes also released for The Long Dark. You will find that these hotfixes addressed several world art issues found in the Bleak Inlet region and resolved several Predator AI and Quality of Life issues. Something that stands out is that they fixed various clipping and floating objects for all regions. Click here to read more about that specific hotfix.
