Nintendo Wii Repair Support Ending in March 2020

Nintendo has announced that it will end repair support of its original Wii. Nintendo will also not accept repairs if they run out of spare parts.

After a 13-year long run, Nintendo Wii repair support will end on March 31st, 2020. Nintendo’s official website posted a notice regarding terminating repairs for Wii. Nintendo will also not accept repairs if their spare parts finish before the specified date. If your Wii is broken, then you might want to head out to Nintendo Wii repair support now.

The RVL-001 aka original Nintendo Wii repair support is to end for all of its color variants. Although the console was first revealed in 2004, it was released in December 2006. The console had a competition with Xbox and PlayStation 2. Nintendo has sold over 101 million units of the Wii since its launch in 2006. The console managed to break sales records in December 2009 in the United States.
