Mortal Kombat Kollection Online Rated by PEGI

The Mortal Kombat Franchise has been with us for the past decade and now we have a leak suggesting Mortal Kombat Kollection Online is in development. We have witnessed the games in Mortal Kombat series improving in visuals, audio, move-sets, and gameplay in every installment. The bloody and gruesome gameplay of the series has been very satisfying over the years.

Now, it seems like we are getting a “Kollection” which has been rated by Pan European Game Information (PEGI). The rated Mortal Kombat collection has been listed to be released on major platforms including PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The PEGI listing shows the following description:

Mortal Kombat Kollection Online is the original Mortal Kombat trilogy that MK fans always wanted. Upgraded art, gameplay, and online features provide an incredible experience that revive the “klassics”…

Most of the time, when such listing appears on a PEGI website, it becomes obvious that the game will be released eventually; sooner rather than later in most cases. However, the release date mentioned on PEGI website for the collection makes us doubt its authenticity. The launch date written is 21 January 2020, which is in the past now. Either the release date is a mistake or we are going to hear about it very soon.

Previously, Mortal Kombat Remaster was under development by Blind Squirrel Games but the development was halted by Warner Bros. Interactive. It’s possible that the development of Mortal Kombat Kollection Online paused the development of the remaster.

Obviously, such leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt. Officially, Mortal Kombat Kollection Online doesn’t exist yet.
