The Last Of Us 2 Lego Fan Video Kiddifies The Post-Apocalypse

Even though The Last Of Us 2 isn’t supposed to be releasing for another four months, that doesn’t mean that people aren’t still excited for it. This has recently resulted in a The Last Of Us 2 Lego video, showing off a section of the game’s trailer made entirely of Lego bricks.

Back when the Lego Star Wars games first began to come out, no one had ever thought about doing something like that before, and resulted in a surprising sleeper hit when it turned out that making dramatic action movies into silly, fun games made entirely out of Legos.

While it’s unlikely that The Last Of Us 2 will ever actually be made in a Lego form, the animation is quite good, despite being short. It showcases a quick-time event, the act of aiming a bow, and a shot of Ellie riding a horse through a devastated city.

The video even takes a number of smaller mechanics from some of the other actual Lego games, including having a “bit” counter for the in-game point system you get from destroying or building things, and medkits in the place of character hearts.

The Last of Us 2 Lego video is actually the second Lego video for the series that we’ve seen before. There was also a Lego version of the original game that was released back in 2013, a three-minute long video created by YouTuber Brian Anderson who did not create the Last Of Us 2 version.

While the video isn’t very long, only a few seconds, it’s still a fairly nice achievement to see from a fan, especially since it looks so good. Plus, given the attitude that Lego games normally have, it would be good to get some levity in a series that’s normally got such dark gameplay and stories.
