A lot of new achievements have been introduced in Halo Reach with its re-release in the Master Chief Collection. One of these newly added Halo Reach MCC achievements is named I’m Sorry Dave. To complete this achievement, you have to find the hidden binary signature in the game. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get Hidden Binary Signature Achievement in Halo Reach.
How to Get Hidden Binary Signature Achievement in Halo Reach
Finding the hidden binary signature could literally not be easier since it’s not ‘hidden’ at all. In fact, this might be one of the easiest easter eggs to find in Halo Reach MCC on PC and most players will have probably unlocked this achievement already.
What you need to do is get any non-scoped weapon, like an assault rifle. Then zoom in by pressing RS. Hold the zoom and look at the bottom left corner at the screen.
You’ll see some code there which reads ‘0100010001100001011101100110010’. This hidden binary signature is all you needed for the achievement.
Hold this zoom for a couple of seconds, and the achievement will be unlocked. Yep, it’s as simple as that. In fact, you’ll probably complete this achievement without even knowing you did it.
If you’re wondering what this code means, if you translate it from Binary to ASCII, it spells out ‘Dave’, which is a reference to the UX designer for the Halo and Destiny games, David Cadland.
It’s just a cheeky little shoutout to the designer who now works at Monolith.
