When you have received the upgraded Rotom Bike you would be able to go back to specific areas of the Galar region that you weren’t able to reach before and look for Lapras there.

This pokemon has an overworld encounter on Route number 2. You will find it on the middle Island near to Professor Magnolia’s house and research lab.

The Lapras that you find here will be level 55 and you would need the seventh gym badge so that you can able to catch this Water and Ice-type.

Another location to find Lapras is Route 9 by using fishing.

There are fishing pools along the watery route and from there you can fish level 39 to level 43 lapras and this could be done without having to get a gym badge.

You can also find them in Wild areas but you would need upgraded Rotom bikes for this. You can find them in both the Lake of Outrage and North Lake Miloch sections of the map, their level will be ranging from levels 56 to 60 which is dependent on your in game progression.
