In a similar vein to how Death Stranding got an image filter on Instagram, four Cyberpunk 2077 Instagram filter options are now available, in case you want to punk up your friends or yourself while taking selfies. The filter allows you to take a picture and look like an actual Night City citizen.
There are actually multiple filters, four in all, to choose from when you take your picture. Each of the filters depicts a different kind of augmentation that is commonplace in a cyberpunk setting, two of them being very obvious mechanical augmentations to your eyes while the other two are more discreet circuitry lines.
Unlike the previous Death Stranding filter, which was a fan creation and only allowed one type of filter (which gave you eye shadow like Troy Baker’s character and your own Odradek), the four different Cyberpunk 2077 Instagram filter options are official, and give you plenty of ways to show off your own hype for the game.
Even though they can each be categorized by whether they’re the face circuitry or the eye augmentations, each of the filters looks different, and we’ll likely see way more of their kind in the actual game when it releases in March of next year.
This is only the latest piece of social media work that CD Projekt RED has done in order to drum up hype for Cyberpunk 2077, where they’ve also made a Twitter account to show off various vistas of Night City before players get to experience it for themselves.
With what we’ve seen in the trailers, there’s likely going to be an enormous amount of different ways that people have altered their bodies in the game, and we’ll likely be able to use those alterations ourselves.
If you have an Instagram account, you can make use of the Cyberpunk 2077 Instagram filters for yourself, and otherwise you can look forward to the game coming out on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC on April 16 of 2020.
