The Last of Us Part 2 Prints Show Ellie Having A Dog

Naughty Dog has announced recently a series of high-quality prints for the upcoming sequel of The Last of Us. The prints show concept art from the game. What we didn’t expect though is getting hints about its gameplay. As it seems, Ellie in The Last of Us 2 might find herself getting a dog companion. A really cute one, at that.

The prints were announced through Twitter and are a product of collaboration between Naughty Dog and Cook and Becker. There are 4 concept art designs available right now, all featuring Ellie in various scenery. The first three prints look like standard The Last of Us 2 artwork except for the last one, showing Ellie with a dog companion.

The presence of a companion for the main protagonist wasn’t revealed up until now and even though this isn’t an official reveal, we can’t help but get excited. Even though this possibility stirs things up for the game, the consequences are troubling.

Naughty Dog knows how to make players emotional with The Last of Us and seeing a dog getting a part in this makes everyone think we’ll have to see it get an unfortunate ending. This could be as emotional as the “Sarah scene” and we really don’t want history to repeat itself. We can’t possibly handle that.

The Last of Us 2 prints are available but from Cook and Becker right now. Their prices range from approximately $100 up to a staggering $400. Although this isn’t a gift for a casual fan, their quality makes them perfect additions to a hardcore fans’ collection. Here’s a gallery of all the available prints:

One of the prints include Joel and Ellie on horseback roaming, another indication of how important he is to this game as well. We still don’t know what role Joel or Gina have to play in the game yet. However, we can take our time waiting and estimating what we might face, since we might be looking at 2020’s game of the year right there.

The release date for The Last of Us Part 2 has been pushed back by a month, giving Naughty Dog some more time to work on its final touches. You’ll be able to play it on May 29th, 2020, exclusively on Playstation 4.
