You will only be able to get a Galarian Ponyta if you have the Shield version, or else you will have to trade one.
Pokemon Sword and Shield Galarian Ponyta
The Galarian Ponyta is a Psychic-type Pokemon. The Psychic types are weak against Ghost, Bug and Dark-type Pokemon. Galarian Ponyta is strong when facing Psychic and Fighting-type Pokemon.
In Sword and Shield, you will find a Galarian Ponyta in the tall grass in Glimwood Tangle, which is located southwards of Ballonlea.
At Glimwood Tangle, Pokemon only appear in the tall grass, thus its harder to find Pokemon over here. Generally, there is a 10% probability of you encountering a Galarian Ponyta.
You should not run in the grass while in search of a Galarian Ponyta as they get scared away, so consider walking slowly in the tall grass.
The Galarian Ponyta has the following base stats:
- 50 HP
- 85 Attack
- 65 SP Attack
- 55 Defense
- 65 SP Defense
- 90 Speed Max IV Stats
If you own Pokemon Sword, unfortunately, you cannot find Galarian Ponyta in the wild. As mentioned above, Galarian Ponyta is exclusive to Pokemon Shield so you will have to trade with someone who owns Pokemon Shield.
Galarian Rapidash and its Location
A Rapidash has two forms: Normal form and a Galarian Form. The Galarian Rapidash is Galarian Ponyta’s evolution, and you will only be able to get one from evolving a Galarian Ponyta.
A Galarian Rapidash will not be found in the wild. Galarian Ponyta evolves into a Galarian Rapidash at level 38. You may also get one while trading Pokemon.
The Galarian Rapidash is a Psychic and Fairy-type Pokemon, which means that the Pokemon is weak when facing Ghost, Steel and Poison-type Pokemon. Galarian Rapidash is strong when facing Dark, Dragon, Flying and Psychic-type Pokemon.
The Galarian Rapidash has the following base stats:
- 65 HP
- 100 Attack
- 80 SP Attack
- 70 Defense
- 80 SP Defense
- 105 Speed Max IV Stats
As we mentioned above, the only way to get your hands on the glorious Galarian Rapidash is either through trading with someone who already has it or by leveling up your Galarian Ponyta to level 38.
At level 38, the Galarian Ponyta will automatically evolve into Galarian Rapidash.
