In Pokemon Sword and Shield, there are many types of Evolutionary stones that can be found. Evolution stones are obtainable items that help in evolving a specific Pokemon. When an evolutionary stone is used, it will immediately evolve the Pokemon which you choose of the corresponding element type. Pokemon Sword and Shield Evolution Stones Locations

For each element Pokemon, there is an evolution stone available. And we will list the location of all of them below

Fire Stone
To get ahold of the fire stone, you will have to go near the Lake Miloch in the first wild area. Head towards the north of Lake Miloch and you will reach a bridge that you will use to cross the river. After crossing the river, look towards the wall on the left. The fire stone will be present in the base of the large wall.

Fire stone can be used to evolve the following Pokemon, while Scorbunny evolves without needing one

  • Eevee evolves to Flareon.
  • Vulpix evolves to Ninetales.
  • Growlithe evolves to Arcanine.

Leaf Stone
To find the Leaf stone location, head to Turffield which is the first major city you will come across in the game. Go up the slope that leads out of Turffield to the right, and you’ll come to a female NPC. On the short path adjacent to her to the right, you can find the Leaf Stone on the ground.

The Leaf stone can be used to evolve the following Pokemon.

  • Eevee evolves to Leafeon.
  • Nuzleaf evolves to Shiftry.
  • Gloom evolve to Vileplume.

Water Stone
To find the water stone, go to the wild area in Bridge Field. Look to the large wall that surrounds Motostoke in this area. At the base of this wall, look for an energy well, and you’ll find the Water Stone just a few meters nearby at the base of the wall.

The Water stone can be used to evolve the following Pokemons.

  • Eevee evolves to Vaporeon.
  • Shellder evolves to Cloyster.
  • Lombre evolves to Ludicolo.

Sun Stone
To get hold of the Sun stone, go to the wild area location in Dusty Bowl. This area is north of Motostoke. In the top half of the Dusty Bowl area, you can find the Sun Stone on the ground.

The Sun stone can be used to evolve the following Pokemon.

  • Gloom evolve to Bellossom.
  • Cottonee evolves to Whimsicott.
  • Helioptile evolve to Heliolisk.

Dawn Stone
To find the Dawn stone, go to the west area of Giant’s cap. Head to the southern end of Giant’s Cap, and you’ll find the Dawn Stone in an area overlooking the Dusty Bowl below.

You can use the dawn stone to evolve the following pokemon:

  • Kirlia evolves to Gallade.
  • Snorunt evolves to Frolass.

Dusk Stone
This stone is found very far into the progress of the game. Once you reach Stow-on-Side, head round the back of the Poke Mart, and you’ll immediately find the Dusk Stone on the ground. Very easy find.

You can use the dusk stone to evolve the following pokemon:

  • Lampent evolves to Chandelure.

Shiny Stone
On Route 8, you’ll get challenged by Doctor Joanna after you climb down a ladder. Defeat the doctor, take the ladder to the right of her, then take the path leading south on the right. Head all the way around this path, and you’ll find the Shiny Stone.

Following Pokemon can be evolved from the Shiny Stone:

  • Roselia evolves to Roserade.
  • Togetic evolves to Togekiss.
  • Minccino evolves to Cinccino.

Ice Stone
In Route 9, immediately after obtaining the Rotom bike’s water mode from the surgeon, go into the water and paddle to the upper right corner (towards the opening formed by the iceberg). The stone can be found sparkling there.

Following Pokemon can be evolved from the Ice Stone:

  • Eevee evolves to Glaceon.
  • Darumaka evolve to Darmanitan

Thunder Stone
To locate and acquire the Thunder Stone, you will have to first gain the Water Mode for the Rotom Bike. Afterward, head to the Lake of Outrage Wild Area. There will be a small area on the opposite side of the lake; bike to that area and you will immediately see a Pokeball containing the Thunder Stone.

The Thunder Stone can be used to help the following Pokemon evolve:

  • Pikachu evolves into Raichu
  • Eevee evolves into Jolteon
  • Charjabug evolves into Vikavolt

Moon Stone
The Moon Stone can be acquired from the Dusty Bowl Wild Area. Bike into the area and head to the western part of the area. In a crevice, near some dried grass, you will find the Pokeball containing the sought after Moon Stone lying there unassumingly.

The Moon Stone can be used to help the following Pokemon evolve:

  • Clefairy evolves into Clefable
  • Munna evolves into Musharna
